April 10, 2025 – The North American foodservice landscape continues to be shaped by broader shifts: food and drink shopping changes, inflation, flexible work and lifestyles and even technology. More than half of diners maintained their dining out and ordering habits, yet reductions were more prevalent among those who made changes.
In an already competitive landscape, with retailers investing in their RTE options, coupled with increased time spent at home and snacking, operators will need to go on the offensive to remain in the consideration set and drive traffic – even in new, casual occasions.
