Snacks sales continue to grow steadily. Sales of all snack types are growing at similar rates, with East Europe growing faster than the global average. Snacks launches have also grown since 2018. Vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and no additives/preservatives claims are the most common, with vegetarian, vegan and high fiber or protein claim use growing. Plant-based, palm oil-free, lactose-free and limited edition claims are emergent. Main base ingredient variety is growing with more legume, vegetable and seaweed entries.
